What I Have Learned
Like all the other communications classes that I have taken at San Jose State, I enjoyed this one because the concepts are tangible and applicable to everyday life. This class taught me a lot about leadership, problem solving, and countless other group dynamics. From now on, whenever I am part of a small group, I will be able to reflect on what I learned in this class, particularly when it comes to conflict and problem solving. My favorite thing about the class was the topics that we wrote about for our blogs. I feel like I have a firm grasp on the concepts that we discussed because we all had to relate the concepts to personal experiences. Since each of us is an expert on our own lives, it was easy to apply the topics to real life and enhance my understanding and comprehension that way. I think my least favorite thing was commenting on other blogs. Don't get me wrong, it was fun to meet new people and get other perspectives on the course material, but since everyone has different work habits and posts at different times, I feel like only commented on a handful of different blogs. Since I am someone that likes to start and finish my assignments as soon as possible, I ended up commenting on certain people's blogs more than others. This didn't end up being an issue; it was just a very, very minor inconvenience. No improvements are necessary for this class as far as I am concerned!

Hi Burgs great post. Based on the experience of blogging for this class, not everyone wrote timely on their blogs, so even I ended up mostly responding on the same handful blogs that posted promptly. You were among the few blogs that I responded the most. I enjoyed reading your blog this semester. You always linked the topic of the blog with your real life experiences very well. I think that’s the best way to relate to the topic and explain the readers what you exactly mean. I think the semester just flew by as we are at the 16th week already. Good job on your post and good luck for your finals.

Hi Burg, great post on this week's discussion! I thought you response to what you have learned through this course was very insightful and interesting. I think most of us can agree with you when you say that the certain skills and techniques we've acquired through many of our comm courses are definitely applicable to our everyday lives. I couldn't agree more because I see myself using these types of communication skills on an everyday basis whether it's at work, at home or just simply among my peers. I also agree with your ideas about our blogs. I also thought this was one of my favorite things done in this class because it allowed us to write about the topic and relate it to the text in our own ways. It actually made me understand the concepts a lot better because I had to link it to a personal experience. It made me practice my knowledge on the topic and apply it to an actual event which made the understandings more clear. I also agree with not having any necessary improvements. The class was clear, fun and understanding overall. Great job and I enjoyed commenting on your posts a lot!
